We tried die cutting cards today. Makes me wonder what took me so long to try yet another task that the Windmill does well. I’ve mangled many a business card, trying to cut them on a regular paper cutter. So I emailed Bobbie at Key Dies and she graciously helped me through the process of figuring out exactly what I wanted. Once the order was finalized, the die was here almost instantly. That’s a great company.

I periodically do calling cards for my friend Hugo in Maine somewhere and this is the product of our first die cutting effort. Just look at those razor sharp and clean edges. It’s enough to give you goosebumps. Ok, so this is for a narrow audience, but I’m still pretty excited…

Father’s Day is coming up and we have some campy and cool cards for the big guy. We’re debuting these at the NSS this coming week.

We’re doing a series of these. This is the first. Very traditional and sumptuous.

It’s a birthday bonanza here at ye olde print shop. Another new piece for the NSS. Four colors no less, and commensurately difficult (expensive) to make. But I think it looks pretty nice. We’ll be in Booth #1950, so do drop on by if you’re in the area.

We liked the first version of this card so much, and the response from customers was so positive that we thought we’d print some in a classic cream color. Item #2508

One of my favorite rites of spring is watching the Dogwoods (Cornus florida) flower. As a kid, they were everywhere here in the mid Atlantic and are an indigenous plant to boot. Sadly, a virulent fungus is slowly decimating the population so here’s our effort to keep those fond memories alive. Printed with a light touch, there’s plenty of texture without the currently fashionable crushing of the paper. This is printed on Crane’s Lettra 100% cotton paper and accompanied by an envelope of same manufacture and material. Size is 4.25″ x 5.5″ and is top folded with a blank interior.  #2506

For all the mothers out there who worry about perfection, this card has a sweet and calming effect. Try to do the right thing and you most likely are. #6304
